Jagannath Puri is the oldest pilgrimage center of Hindus. It has been recognized among the Char Dham. Shri Krishna, his brother Balabhadra and his sister Subhadra are worshipped in every Temple of the Jagannath Tirth Kshetra. It is believed that after leaving his divine body, Shri Krishna's heart came here through the passage of the sea and it still provides divine energy here. It has been also known as Martya Vaikuntha or Vaikuntha of Kaliyuga, the abode of Shri Vishnu on the Earth during Kaliyuga. Lord Jagannath’s divinity resides in every Temple of Jagannath Puri. Lord Jagannath Chhota Mandir is one of the oldest, mystical and sacred Temples in Jagannath Puri. This holy place is also referred as the region for Liberation or Salvation. Shri Chaitanya Prabhu also took Brahma bath at this place and attained salvation, moving to the divine world.
