Kashi is also known as the City of Salvation. Lord Shiva with Lord Brahma started the creation of this universe from here by chanting OM at Dashashwamedh Ghat, Kashi. Also, it is believed that anyone taking their last breath here receives salvation and that is why many Devotees come and settle here in Kashi during their last days. There is a pond known as Pishach Mochan Kund near Chetganj in Moksha Nagari Kashi. It is said that performing Tripindi Shraddh here for ancestors will relieve Devotees and their Ancestors from sufferings.
