Dwarka is one of the holy Char Dham pilgrimage sites and is believed to be the divine kingdom of Lord Krishna. Sugar and rice help reduce afflictions related to Venus (Shukra) and Moon (Chandra) in one’s birth chart, while oil helps pacify the malefic effects of Saturn (Shani) and Rahu.

Two types of lentils (dal) help strengthen Jupiter (Guru) and reduce its weaknesses, wheat blesses the devotee with progeny, fame, and honor, and ghee symbolizes purity and divine energy, enhancing the spiritual merit of the offering.
