It is well said that Ayodhya is the Soul of Bharat. It is the center of India's culture and faith. Ayodhya, one of the Saptapuris, is the birthplace of India's ideal Raja Rama. Every particle of this place holds Shri Rama’s divinity. Ayodhya was founded by Surya's son Vaivasvata Manu. Thereafter, the Ikshvaku dynasty ruled this place. Rama Lalla was born here. Just as Kashi is situated on the trident of Shivji, Ayodhya is considered to be situated on the divine chakra of Shri Vishnu. Ayodhya is also known as Saket, and is referred as the favorite place of Lord Vishnu. As suggested by Lord Brahma and on the orders of Shri Vishnu, Vishwakarma, God of Creation, built this city on the banks of river Saryu. Recently, a grand temple of Shri Ram has been inaugurated here. It is said that when one participates in Ramcharitmanas performed in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya Tirth Kshetra, all pathways of happiness and success are opened. Dashrath Mahal situated in Ayodhya glorifies the life of Shri Ram. This is the same place where Shri Ram returned after completing his exile. At that time, the entire city of Ayodhya was decorated along with this palace and he was welcomed in this Dashrath Mahal. Performing any kind of yagya or path dedicated to Shri Ram at this place is considered to be as fruitful as all kinds of worship.
