Mahamrityunjay Mahadev Temple situated in the holy land of Kashi (Varanasi) is a special Temple where Lord Shiva is present in the form of Lord Mahamrityunjaya to protect his Devotees from various diseases and from the fear of premature death. This Temple of Kashi has been a significant part of worship in Hinduism for thousands of years. Lord Dhanvantari, the Lord of Ayurveda had poured special Ayurvedic herbs in a well situated here and worshipped Lord Shiva to stay in this Temple in the form of Mahamrityunjaya to shower Blessings on his Devotees for Good Health. The idol of Lord Shiva present in this Temple is Ashtabhuja Dhari. The idol of Maa Baglamukhi is also enshrined near the idol of Lord Shiva here.
