Navgrah Shani Mandir is situated at the Triveni Ghat of Mokshadayini Shipra River, in the holy city of Ujjain. The temple contains Siddha idols of all the Navagrahas. The idol of Shani Dev enshrined in this Temple is believed to be very ancient, famous and magical. This Shani temple is the first Shani Temple where Shani Dev is present in the form of Lord Shiva. Devotees participate in Puja here to get rid of the malefic effects of Shani or Saturn. It is believed that the Temple is more than 2000 years old. It is also believed that King Vikramaditya did special worship of Lord Shani Dev here and started Vikram Samvat after the Puja. Devotees have been performing Pujas here to get rid of the malefic effects of Shani Sade Sati, Shani Dhaiya and Shani Mahadasha for thousands of years and no Devotee returns empty-handed from this Temple.
