The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), also known as the Hare Krishna movement, includes five hundred major centers, Temples and rural communities, a wide variety of community projects, and millions of congregational members worldwide. ISKCON belongs to Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya, a monotheistic tradition within Vedic culture. In ISKCON, there is a tradition to worship Narasimha along with Shri Krishna. ISKCON founder Prabhupada said that Narasimha is an incarnation of Shri Vishnu in which he came to protect Prahlad. Prahlad himself was an ardent Devotee of Shri Vishnu. Therefore, Offerings to Narasimha Swamy are organized to protect Shri Vishnu’s Devotees from Enemies, Fears, Worries, Financial Woes and Diseases.
