Mana Village is India's first village as it is strategically situated close to Tibet border with Uttarakhand. This village is also situated near Badrinath Dham and is starting point for Trek to Vasudhara Falls. This village also has religious and historical significance in addition to its geopolitical significance. The Ancient Vedic river Saraswati originates in this Tirth Kshetra. To cross the river Saraswati and to enter the gates of heaven or Swarg Dwar, Bhima, the strongest of Pandavas built a bridge on Saraswati river, which is also called as Bhima Pul. Saraswati Temple is situated close to the origin point of Saraswati river and Bhima Pul. Thereafter, Saraswati river merges with Alaknanda, flowing from Alkapuri at Keshav Prayag in Mana Village. There is also a famous Ved Vyasa and Ganesha cave in this Tirth Kshetra, where Rishi Ved Vyasa composed Mahabharata and Vedas and Shri Ganesha wrote them.
